Local children flocked to the Yanchep Community Centre on Wednesday (October 21) for a morning of Farmyard Fun, ahead of Children’s Week.
The event began with several animal and farm themed craft activities and face painting, followed by a visit from Farmyard on Wheels – an interactive mobile farm.
Children were thrilled to be able to hold, pat and help feed the many farmyard animals, including baby chickens, rabbits and a miniature pony.
City of Wanneroo Mayor Jon Kelly said the Yanchep Community Centre regularly hosted community events for local residents.
“The City of Wanneroo is committed to providing activities for all of our residents, no matter what age,” Mayor Kelly said. “Children’s Week is the perfect opportunity for our younger community members to enjoy a morning of fun in Yanchep.”
