The new Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre
Get ready to experience your new Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre!
The new Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre in the Wanneroo Town Centre (at 3 Rocca Way, Wanneroo) is now open.
The WLCC also contains the new Wanneroo Regional Museum. The museum showcases the City's rich cultural heritage with exciting new displays that celebrate stories of the area.
The 2260sqm Library and Cultural Centre will be the first of its kind in Western Australia to house a range of cultural services, and will be nearly three times larger than any of the current library facilities in the City of Wanneroo. The building will feature a library, regional museum, exhibition gallery, community function space, lecture theatre, coffee shop, wireless connection and tenancy space for government offices.
A further $6.1 million was allocated to the project in the 2008/09 budget, bringing the total cost to $18.5 million.
