Municipal Heritage Inventory & Scheme Heritage List

Council at its meeting of 26 April 2006 adopted the following items:

• Revised Municipal Heritage Inventory, being a list of places within the district considered by Council as having cultural heritage significance, prepared pursuant to section 45 of the Heritage of Western Australia Act;
• Scheme Heritage List, to provide added protection for significant heritage places and ensure development has regard to heritage values, prepared pursuant to Clause 5.2.2.3 of District Planning Scheme No. 2; and
• Heritage Places Local Planning Policy, to outline procedures for dealing with applications for planning approval for heritage places, prepared pursuant to Clause 8.11.3 of District Planning Scheme No. 2.
