The new Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre in the Wanneroo Town Centre was completed in September 2009.
The 2260sqm Library and Cultural Centre will be the first of its kind in Western Australia to house a range of cultural services, and will be nearly three times larger than any of the current library facilities in the City of Wanneroo. The building will feature a library, regional museum, exhibition gallery, community function space, lecture theatre, coffee shop, wireless connection and tenancy space for government offices.
A further $6.1 million was allocated to the project in the 2008/09 budget, bringing the total cost to $18.5 million.

Funding has been received from LotteryWest towards the children's museum, showcases and conservation work, and from the Department of Culture & the Arts towards exhibition equipment and specialised lighting.
This partnership between the state government and the City of Wanneroo continues to support the Revitalisation of the Wanneroo Town Centre project.
Wanneroo Aquamotion reopened in 2009 following a major upgrade providing the local community with a first class fitness and family-oriented leisure centre.
The $12 million upgrade, which is part of the Wanneroo Town Centre Revitalisation Project, will feature a contemporary gymnasium and group fitness room, hydrotherapy pool and children’s splash pad.
A new, outdoor deep-water pool will compliment the existing indoor 25-metre lap pool and leisure pool, and there will be a larger sauna and spa.
The works also include extensions to the crèche, a refurbished cafe, change-room improvements, provision of barbeques and upgrades to the existing outdoor public facilities.
