Eco Business Free Energy Assessment & Mentoring Program
Through the generous funding of AusIndustry, the City of Wanneroo in conjunction with the City of Joondalup and EcoSmart successfully delivered the Eco Business program to the local business community. The award winning program featured FREE energy assessments for businesses, which benchmarked eletricity, gas, water, waste and travel in Energy Action Plans aimed at the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, with potential energy cost savings.
As a result of the program, 330 businesses participated and succeeded in reducing their energy use and bills. The program delivered mentoring and community awareness initiatives, including a local advertising campaign and free placement on the Eco Business directory:
Eco Business Directory Eco Businesses are easily recognisable thanks to their Eco-rating logo, which is based on the level of green gas reduction or offset achieved during the program.
Networking Events & Seminars:
In March, local home-based and early-stage businesses joined the City of Wanneroo and its partners to discover tips on how to respond to the changing economic climate. According to the attendees’ feedback, the two events organised by the Economic Development team were very successful.
