Community Safety Working Group

Vacancies:  5 community representatives
Works in partnership with the community and the WA Police to develop community safety policy and crime prevention initiatives consistent with the City’s strategic goals, to review and manage the strategic direction of the Community Safety Program and recommend improvements/changes to the various components of the Program to Council for consideration, and to consult and communicate with statutory and voluntary sectors of the community.

Healthy Communities Steering Group

Vacancies:  3 community representatives, 1 community champion, 1 representatives of the target population of population sub-group
Provides advice on how to engage with people aged 18 and above who are facing multiple barriers to workforce and learning participation, particularly where they are exacerbated by poor health resulting from overweight and obesity and to support the reduction of overweight and obesity (and resulting chronic disease) through the delivery of a range of proactive activities.

Roadwise Working Group

Vacancies:  4 community representatives
Provides a forum for community liaison, implements community road safety projects such as the Driver Reviver program and caravan and trailer safety checks, and provides advice to Council on traffic and road safety issues that affect the residents and transport users within the City of Wanneroo.
