Art ‘n’ About Indoor Market: 31 July

Tuesday, 19 Jul 2011
Escape the winter chill at the City of Wanneroo’s indoor art and craft market Art ‘n’ About.

On Sunday, 31 July the doors to the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre will be open for the popular market, with 70 stalls full of unique and creative art, clothing, photographs, tasty preserves and beautiful crafts.

In between shopping, check out the many workshops in the theatrette, where you can learn simple appliqué techniques, creative drawing, painting pottery, cake decorating, introduction to paperclay, how to make your own fabric shopping bag and rag rug demonstrations

There will also be workshops for kids, including mini card-making and designing and making badges, as well as free face painting.

Wanneroo Deputy Mayor Tracey Roberts said the indoor Art ‘n’ About market was the perfect excuse to indulge in some winter shopping.

“The beauty of this market is you can escape the winter weather for a few hours and shop in the comfort of the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre, which is one of the reasons why it is such a popular community event,” Cr Roberts said.

“It is also a great opportunity to see the wonderful facilities in the Wanneroo Town Centre, of which we are very proud, such as the Wanneroo Library and Wanneroo Regional Museum, which will both be open on the day.”

Food and coffee vendors will be on site throughout the day.
