The City of Wanneroo’s Clarkson Library will host best-selling author Sara Foster as she gives an insight into her new book Beneath the Shadows.
Clarkson Library, 27 Ocean Keys Boulevard, Clarkson, will proudly present Sara to speak on her new book on Thursday 24 March, 2011 from 6.30pm - 7.30pm.
A Western Australian, Sara worked as an editor in the publishing industry for many years before releasing her first novel, Come Back to Me in 2010, which reached No.10 on the Sydney Morning Herald best-seller list.
Beneath the Shadows, Sara's latest offering, is a modern tale of a young woman's strength in the face of incessant hostility and doubt, in the hope that she can find what she needs to set herself free.
Mayor Jon Kelly said it was an honour to have an author of Sara's calibre visiting the Clarkson Library, and that it continued the City's tradition of enlightening library users with an insight through the eyes of the author.
"The City's libraries are widely used and are an ideal place for local residents to read, to learn and to escape to another world," he said. "By bringing in authors, the City hopes to bring readers a greater sense of pleasure and understanding into a book's origins and meanings.
"Author talks also allow library users to ask questions of writers and for some may be the catalyst to embarking on a writing career themselves."
The event is free, but bookings are essential. To secure your place contact Clarkson Library on 9407 1600.
