Take in music and food from around the globe at the Global Beats & Eats Festival.
The evening promises to be a sensation for the senses at Liddell Reserve, Girrawheen on 10 March.
Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said the City was thrilled to be hosting the international-themed festival as the City’s second summer concert.
“Global Beats & Eats promises to be such an entertaining evening,” Mayor Roberts said. “We are bringing together a taste of so many cultures, through both food and music, so I hope residents from across our City, but especially the south ward, come along to Liddell Reserve.”
Headline act Tijuana Cartel will bring the beats that span the globe. With multi-layered grooves, touches of slide and flamenco guitar, trumpet, vocals and Afro Cuban Percussion mixed with some hardened electronica – it’s a combo that’s intriguing, energetic and utterly delicious.
Plus the sounds of the Middle East, West African drummers, Chinese Lion dancers and Spanish dance.
Then treat another of your senses with delicious cuisine, from Satay, Argentinean BBQ, Colombian Empanadas, Mexican Burritos, and New Zealand ice-cream.
Plus there will be plenty of kids activities:
- Shaker making workshop by the Sambanistas
- Bouncy castle
- Face painting
