It may be cold and wet outside, but the July school holidays will be anything but boring with the City of Wanneroo’s Holiday Program.
The school holidays are just around the corner, so it is time to register your child for the many activities planned over the two-week holiday period.
Wanneroo Mayor Jon Kelly said activities would run right across the City, for children aged 6 to 18.
“There will be activities happening in Banksia Grove, Carramar, Clarkson, Girrawheen, Madeley, Quinns Rocks, Wanneroo and Yanchep, so no matter where you live in the City of Wanneroo there will be something happening near you.”
Children aged between 6 and 12 years can show off their artistic side with scrap-booking and Papier-Mache, cook up a storm in the Junior Chef challenge or try their hand at a range of different sports (AFL, soccer, cricket) with Multi-sport.
Scitech will also present The Science of Slime in a special event at the Banksia Grove Community Centre.
Registrations are open for City of Wanneroo residents from Monday, 27 June to Wednesday, 6 July. Call 9405 5255 to receive your booking number.
Youth aged 12 to18 are not left out, with a huge range of free drop in based activities at the City’s Youth centres. Teenagers can enjoy pool and table tennis competitions, pizza making, quiz nights, dance workshop and even a Band Hero Competition.
