City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts is encouraging residents to have their say on key Council issues through a new online forum – Engage.
“We want to encourage as many people as possible to be involved in decisions affecting their community,” Mayor Roberts said.
“Engage uses modern methods through the City’s website to allow people to understand major issues before Council and to register their interest in being part of further consultation when required.
“Engage is a monitored forum where people can comment and discuss their points of view with other interested people within the community.”
The first topic Engage is being used for is the City’s wide-ranging consultation on a new Coastal Management Plan.
“Formal submissions will still be requested by more traditional methods, however Engage offers an option for those who might not be able to attend meetings to ask questions and provide input into the process,” Mayor Roberts said.
