Your Say - Public Comment Items

'Your Say' is your opportunity to provide feedback to the City of Wanneroo on issues which affect the community. Issues range from Planning & Development proposals, draft policies, public consultation on environmental issues, workshops and public meetings.

'Your Say' items appear in the City of Wanneroo's 'WannerooLink' advertising page which features every Tuesday in the Wanneroo Times Community Newspaper, on public notice boards and of course, this page.

Written comments on 'Your Say' items can be forwarded by post or email and should be addressed to Daniel Simms, Chief Executive Officer.

Please note:
Should you make a submission on a planning proposal, please note that your details may be made public at a Council meeting and included in a Council Agenda, which will be available on the City's website, unless you specifically request otherwise in your submission. 

General feedback is also encouraged on non advertised items.

City of Wanneroo reconciliation Action Plan 2015 -2017

A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is about organisations across Australia turning their good intentions regarding improvements in Aboriginal and Strait Islander issues into real actions. The City of Wanneroo, in collaboration with the community, has developed its second RAP for 2015 – 2017. Please click on the link to view the proposed actions for 2015-2017. Draft Local Planning Policy 2.7: Extractive Industry

The City has drafted Local Planning Policy 2.7: Extractive Industry (LPP 2.7), as it currently has no policy guidance on how it deals with 'Extractive Industry' applications under District Planning Scheme No. 2 (DPS 2). Once adopted by Council, LPP 2.7 will guide the City's assessment and determination of Extractive Industry applications on land zoned or reserved under DPS 2.

Proposed Amendment No. 136 to District Planning Scheme No. 2 (DPS 2) - Lot 800 (30) Crabtree Street, Alexander Heights

Public comment is invited on the abovementioned amendment to DPS 2 which proposes to zone and code Lot 800 (30) Crabtree Street, Alexander Heights as 'Residential, R40' in order to facilitate the development of medium density residential development.
If Amendment No. 136 is approved, the subject land would be capable of accommodating approximately 18 dwellings (houses) or 33 multiple dwellings (apartments).

Proposed Change of Use from 'Resturant' to 'Tavern' (Amendment to DA2013/987) - 150 Camborne Parkway, Butler

In July 2014 the Joint North-West Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) approved a development application (DA2013/987) at Lot 2810 (150) Camborne Parkway, Butler for a Shopping Centre, which included a Liquor Store and Restaurant on the corner of Camborne Parkway and Butler Boulevard. Construction of the development has not commenced. Public comment is invited for the proposed change of use of this 'Restaurant' to 'Tavern'. The tavern is proposed to operate as follows: 1) Operating hours - Monday and Thursday 10.00am to 11.00pm, Friday and Saturday 10.00am to 12.00am; and Sunday 10.00am to 10.00pm. 2) The Tavern is expected to accommodate an absolute maximum of 450 patrons at any one time, however, it is expected that occupancy is likely to be substantially less (Maximum patrons subject to Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor requirements). 3) Service vehicles will generally attend the site outside the Shopping Centre peak operating times. 4) Operations of the tavern will need to comply with noise restrictions, in accordance with the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997.

Proposed Gnangara Rural Community Local Structure Plan No. 99

Public comment is invited on the proposed Gnangara Rural Community Local Structure Plan. The Structure Plan will establish the planning framework for the conservation of the existing bush forever site and community purpose area.
