More than 400 people attended the opening night, with the 11th annual awards attracting a record 347 entries, with artists vying for $13,500 worth of prizes – the biggest prize pool ever offered by the City.
Mayor Roberts said the art awards attracted people from right across the State. “As always our Art Awards have attracted a diverse range of entries, from professionals to hobbyists to those that paint occasionally,” she said. “So make sure you come along – it is well worth a visit.”
