Have you heard about the Parenting Place at Clarkson Library?
Find out how to make the most of your child’s Early Years as well as general Parenting advice and information at the Parenting Place. This is your one-stop shop for parenting resources, information and support. You can borrow from a large range of books, videos, DVDs, these resources are available during Clarkson Library open hours. You will find the parenting collection shelves between the junior fiction and young adult sections.
You can also search the entire parenting collection in the online library catalogue, request resources from other libraries, and let local service providers know what additional support and services you would like to see in the area for parents, carers, children and families.
Friday morning support for Families:
Mums, Dads, Grandparents, and Caregivers are welcome to come along and have a chat to friendly support people from a range of local parenting services and support organisations. Every Friday morning from 9.30am- 11.30am feel free to drop in for a chat!
NEWS FLASH FOR PARENTING PLACE:
First Fridays of the month
We have just recently introduced the First Fridays of the month Free Parenting Information sessions. Sessions are conducted by staff representing a variety of local Parenting support agencies. These sessions are free, however we do ask if you can please contact Clarkson Library to register your expression of interest. Topics will vary each month, but have been planned in consultation with local families. Your children are most welcome to attend these sessions with you.

If you haven't visited the Clarkson Library before, it is easy to find, just across the road from the northern entrance to Ocean Keys Shopping Centre on Ocean Keys Boulevard. There is ample parking behind the library, and also a bus stop located just outside.
The Parenting Place is supported by the Department for Communities, Department for Child Protection, Ngala, Uniting Care West and Child and Adolescent Community Health Division, hosted by the City of Wanneroo at Clarkson Library.
