Thursday 26 May 2011 at 7.00pm
Function Room, Kingsway Indoor Sports Stadium.
As part of the City of Wanneroo’s 2011/2012 Capital Works Program, the second carriageway of Hepburn Avenue is proposed for construction between Mirrabooka Avenue and Bellerive Boulevard to create a four lane dual carriageway. This will then complete all dualling works for Hepburn Avenue within the City’s jurisdiction.
The proposed works will include:
- Two lane southern carriageway construction from Mirrabooka Avenue to Bellerive Boulevard, including a 1.5m wide sealed shoulder for on-road cycling.
- Realigned northern and southern carriageway connections to the existing roundabouts at the Kingsway Regional Sporting Complex Access Road and Hartman Drive.
- Existing “T” intersections at the Highclere Boulevard and Evandale Road to be upgraded with separate lanes for all left and right turns and a ‘Seagull’ median island to align right turn movements.
- Shared 2.5m wide path (pedestrians and cyclists) for the entire length of the project, located on the southern side of the road reserve, with connections to the existing adjacent road/path network.
- Underground drainage infrastructure for the entire length of the project, utilising a combination of roadside swale drains and piped drainage to either below ground infiltration chambers or existing stormwater drainage basins in the area.
- Landscaping of the road verges and median will be included as part of the road constructions works, with additional funding for completion of landscaping being promoted in the Draft 2012/2013 budget for Council consideration.

Your anticipated cooperation would therefore be greatly appreciated.
It is advised that the City proposes to commence construction of these works during November/December 2011, with a June 2012 completion being targeted.
