Total Fire Ban

A Total Fire Ban has been declared for tomorrow, Wednesday 8th February 2012 for Perth, Perth hills and surrounding areas and Mandurah. This includes the Entire City of Wanneroo as part of the Perth Metropolitan area, it also includes Perth hills and the neighbouring shires of the Perth Metropolitan area: Swan, Chittering, Gingin, Kalamunda, Mundaring, Murray, Waroona. On Wednesday 8th February 2012 between 12.01am until 11.59pm any activity that could start a fire is banned.

I, Phillip Hay, authorised Chief Bush Fire Control Officer of the City of Wanneroo hereby declare a ban on the use or operation of combustible engines, vehicles, plant or machinery likely to cause a bushfire on Wednesday 8th February 2012 from 00:01 hours to 23:59 hrs inclusive for the whole of the City of Wanneroo. This Ban will be reviewed during Wednesday 8th February 2012 at which time further advice may be issued.

Details of the ban have been lodged with ABC radio for broadcasting.
