WITH CHRISTMAS FAST APPROACHING, MAYOR JON KELLY IS ASKING FOR YOUR HELP TO MAKE THE FESTIVE SEASON A LITTLE EASIER FOR THOSE LESS FORTUNATE FAMILIES LIVING IN THE CITY BY SUPPORTING THE ANNUAL MAYOR’S CHRISTMAS APPEAL.
The Mayor’s Christmas Appeal encourages the community to donate non-perishable food items for hampers, and suitable gifts for children and teenagers. All donations will be distributed to families living within the City of Wanneroo in time for Christmas. The City is seeking donations of goods such as:
FOOD HAMPERS AND NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS:
Christmas Puddings, Cakes and Mixes, Sweets, Biscuits and Crackers
Tinned Foods, Pasta and Cereals
Tea, Coffee and Sugar
ITEMS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE:
Chocolate Christmas Stockings
Magazines and CD Vouchers
Beach Towels, Make-Up and Toiletries
Teddy Bears and Toys
Don’t forget to indicate the suitable age and gender on gift-wrapped children’s presents, and be sure to get your donations in by Friday 11 December.
Donations can be delivered to the Mayor’s Office at the Civic Centre, Ashby Operations Centre, or to the City’s Libraries and Community Centres.
