The City of Wanneroo is proposing to amend the Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law.

The City of Wanneroo resolved at is Ordinary Meeting of Council on 6 December 2016 to advertise the following proposed Local Law: PUBLIC PLACES AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROPERTY AMENDMENT LOCAL LAW 2016

The purpose of the proposed Public Places and Local Government Property Amendment Local Law is to amend the City of Wanneroo Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law to include a provision specifically prohibiting use of vehicles on beaches and dunes. The effect of the proposed Public Places and Local Government Property Amendment Local Law is to address a significant risk to the safety of beach users by providing a deterrent to offenders for non-compliance with the Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law within the City of Wanneroo district.

The proposed Local Law may be inspected at the City of Wanneroo offices at 23 Dundebar Rd, Wanneroo during normal office hours. Electronic copies of the Local Law can be downloaded from the Document Library below. 

Submissions may be made to the Chief Executive Officer, City of Wanneroo by 4.00pm on 3 February 2017.
