Madeley - Review of vehicle access arrangements, Marathon Loop and Gnangara Road

Recent development and increased home occupancy in the residential precinct north of Gnangara Road has resulted in residents becoming frustrated with the limited access to the area. The City has received requests from residents to take action to improve access by addressing the way in which the precinct connects to the road network.

The City is proposing to connect Marathon Loop to Gnangara Road at two locations, these being; 

• The existing constructed Marathon Loop / Gnangara Road intersection as a left-in/left-out intersection; and
• The connection of the cul-de-sac end of Marathon Loop to Gnangara Road as a full movement intersection.

Comments need to be received to the City by no later than Monday 29 June 2015.

Once the public comment period has closed, the City will consider the feedback received and make a decision on the project.

Please note, that this project is currently not listed in the City’s 10-year Capital Works Program and that the City, at this stage, is seeking the community’s level of support. A further report will be presented to Council for endorsement on the final proposal.
