Find out about our the diversity in our region by enjoying traditional dance, authentic foods and a wealth of fascinating information from community groups that contribute to our rich cultural heritage in Wanneroo.  We will showcase traditions from Cambodia, China, South Sudan and India.  

Indian Culture @ Clarkson Library

When: Thursday 12 March // 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Where: Clarkson Library, 27 Ocean Keys Boulevard, Clarkson

Artists and presenters from the Hindu Society will help you discover their history and rich traditions.  Watch henna tattoo artists in action and try your hand at the technique.  Sample some delicious food and learn what makes the Hindu way of life unique.

South Sudan Culture @ Girrawheen Library

When: Saturday 14 March // 11:00am to 12:00pm
Where: Girrawheen Library, 6 Patrick Court, Girrawheen

The Pojulu (or Pajulu) ethnic groups are of the savanna lands in the White Nile Valley, in the Equatoria region of South Sudan. There will be an introduction on history, a dance demonstration and finger food provided.

Chinese Culture @ Wanneroo Library

When: Thursday 19 March // 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Where: Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre, 3 Rocca Way, Wanneroo

Discover a sample of the fascinating forms of Chinese culture through Chinese calligraphy, traditional lion dance, Tai Chi and food from the culture. The performance of the dance will be by Gawain Siu from GingMo Academy.  It’s a showcase of Chinese traditions not be missed.

Cambodian Culture @ Wanneroo Library

When: Thursday 26 March // 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Where: Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre, 3 Rocca Way, Wanneroo

Explore some of the delightful aspects of Cambodian culture by a presentation of some of its interesting history and viewing the beautiful traditional dance by the Cambodian Community Classical Dance Group.   Taste some delicious traditional delicacies from the country.
