City of Wanneroo Presents concert sure to delight

Published Thursday, 29th October 2015

The City of Wanneroo Presents: Music from the movies performed by WAYJO on Saturday 7 November promises to be a memorable evening at the Wanneroo Showgrounds.

Wayjo
Mayor Tracey Roberts encouraged residents to attend the all ages, family friendly event to experience the first class entertainment.

“The concert offers an evening of upbeat music, quality jazz and fun entertainment under the stars,” she said.

The event will be headlined by the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra (WAYJO), whose talented musicians will perform well known movie soundtracks including The Lion King, Jungle Book, The Incredibles, Mission Impossible, Monsters Inc. and Beauty and the Beast.

Western Australian band The Brow will support WAYJO with high energy genre-defying beats that mix electronic, hip hop and pop.

Families can bring a picnic hamper or choose to purchase from the many food vans including El Asador Argentinian BBQ, Hey Pesto gourmet burgers and hot dogs and What the Flip sweet and savoury crepes. Children can enjoy free bubble soccer, circus skills workshops, bungee trampolines, rock climbing and ‘Dart-Tag` Nerf zone.

While the event is free, tickets are essential and are available via the City’s website.

Those who do not have access to a computer or the internet are welcome to visit any City library for help securing tickets.
