Head down to Liddell Park, Girrawheen from 4pm for an evening that promises to be a sensation for the senses with entertainment continuing until 9pm.

City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said the event celebrates the City’s diverse cultures.

“It promises to be a lively, entertaining and enjoyable evening of food and music for the whole family,” Mayor Roberts said.

This year, the city is proud to announce multi-ARIA award winner Dan Sultan will be headlining Global Beats & Eats, with Kim Churchill as the support act.

Having previously toured with Bruce Springsteen, Dan has played to packed audiences around Australia and built a large and loyal following as a performer of rare substance.

Dan’s timeless and powerful riffs, met by crackling gospel interludes, old-school rock and country tones are regularly played in front of sold out crowds.

The singer-songwriter’s ARIAs include Best Male Artist and Best Rock Album, and Dan promises to capture the Australian spirit through his lively music.

Kim Churchill, an ex-busker, will also get the audiences on their feet with his booming voice, upbeat guitar chords and enthusiastic finger-tapping

Kim is known for his dynamic live performances where the focus is on his deft guitar-work, while simultaneously playing bass drum, percussion, tambourine, harmonica and singing his powerful vocals.

Accompanying the global beats will be a myriad of cuisine from all corners of the world. From Vietnamese banh mi to French crepes, there will be dishes for all tastes.

For the kids there will be ample activities including workshops, a bouncy castle and face painting.

Global Beats & Eats is a free event but tickets are essential. Tickets will be released to City of Wanneroo residents on 14 March and to the general public on 18 March.
