Published Thursday, 24th March 2016

Great new artists and entertainment have been added to the City of Wanneroo’s Global Beats & Eats presented by LiveLighter on Saturday, 9 April.

“Global Beats & Eats is one of the City’s favourite events and showcases some fantastic entertainment that keeps the crowd on their feet for hours,” Mayor Tracey Roberts said.

“This year is no exception and I look forward to seeing residents enjoying themselves throughout the evening.”

Support act Mambo Chic will delight the crowd with their smooth tunes. Singing in French and English, the band have been playing around Australia, setting feet tapping and hips swinging wherever their gypsy talents wander.

With his 8 piece band in tow, Phoenix King is bound to rock the stage with his fresh fusion of pop, R&B and reggae. His catchy music, influenced by Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Prince and Bob Marley, will have the audience up on their feet.

Kim Churchill, an ex-busker, will also get the audiences on their feet with his booming voice, upbeat guitar chords and enthusiastic finger-tapping.

All three acts will be supporting the headliner, Dan Sultan, who is a multi-ARIA award winner and has had hits in the charts for weeks at a time.

Dazzling dancers Fanfarra, upbeat drumming group Wasamba and the Chung Wah Lion and Dragon Dance Troupe will also entertain the crowd throughout the evening.

Accompanying the global beats will be a myriad of cuisines to sample from all corners of the world, and children’s activities for the whole family to enjoy.
