Community History Awards

Applications are now open for the 2015 Community History Awards, a competition run by the Wanneroo Regional Museum to encourage research into the history and heritage of the City of Wanneroo.

Entries can focus on any aspect of Wanneroo history such as a building, pioneer family or individual, history of an organisation, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories or memories of a particular decade or event.

The two categories are original research in the form of an unpublished essay and personal memoirs/migrant stories.

Submissions will be added to the Community History Centre collection where they will be preserved and shared with the community.

First prize in each category is $500 and runner-up is $150.

Entries are now open and close at 4pm Friday, 24 April 2015.
