City looks for skate park comp volunteers

With the Wanneroo Skate Park construction now well underway, the City is seeking volunteers to join the planning crew for an event to showcase the completed park and the skills of local young people.
If you are 12 to 25 years old and interested in skate parks or community work, looking to build your skills in event planning and add a skill to your resume you are an ideal candidate.
The event planning crew will help the City of Wanneroo’s youth team to organise a skate, scooter and BMX competition and other fun activities at the new Wanneroo Skate Park on a day in November or December 2016.
Successful candidates will need to be available to attend meetings in Wanneroo after 4pm at least once a fortnight and to work the event on the agreed upon day.
A maximum of eight young people will be selected for this opportunity and applications must be submitted by Wednesday 19 July 2016. All applicants will be contacted the following week.
