WAFL action will be live in Wanneroo next week, with the highly anticipated clash between Subiaco Lions and West Perth Falcons.

Australian Rules Football

Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said the City of Wanneroo was thrilled to be hosting the WAFL showdown ‘community style’ at Kingsway Sporting Complex on 6 August which will see for the first time, Subiaco playing their home game at Kingsway rather than their usual home-ground at Leederville.

“We are very excited to see reigning premiers Subiaco take on West Perth in what will be a grand final rematch on our very own turf next week,” Mayor Roberts said. “Kingsway Sporting Complex is a fantastic facility and a great venue for the WAFL to showcase footy to our local community.”

The City has been working with Subiaco Football Club, Kingsway Junior Football Club and Kingsway Amateur Football Club to ensure an action-packed family day out.

“West Perth and Subiaco are district neighbours and great rivals, so this promises to be an exciting game.

“Make sure you are there to witness the first and third teams on the ladder thrash it out for a win!”

Please be advised. There is expected to be an increase in traffic in the area from approximately 12:30pm.
