The information session will cover opportunities for volunteering for council based activities as well as not for profit groups.

The City’s Volunteer Resource Centre allows locals to come and chat about volunteering and find suitable opportunities that match their skills and interest within the City or at a local not for profit organisation.

The City has around 300 regular volunteers who contribute to a wide range of services the City provides including Fire and Emergency Services, Books on Wheels, Adult Day Centres, Social Support, Shoppers Bus and Buckingham House.

The information session will feature a number of guest speakers who are involved with coordinating volunteer groups with representatives from:

  • St Johns Ambulance
  • Ed Connect
  • 12 Buckets
  • Brightwater
  • Volunteer Task Force
  • City of Wanneroo Funded Services
  • City of Wanneroo Conservation and Wetlands

The Volunteer Info Session will be held on in the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre on 19 August from 9.30am -12pm.
