Greening the Community

The City of Wanneroo is calling on residents to green their suburb by getting involved in the community conservation planting events.

Trees planted

More than 3,300 groundcovers, perennial herbs, shrubs and trees will be planted as part of the annual program, which will help rehabilitate the natural areas within the City.

Participants will also learn about their local parks and the unique conservation areas within them.

This year there will be three community planting events, in Ridgewood, Mindarie and Koondoola.

Ridgewood Park, Ridgewood
Sunday 18 June // 9am – 11am
Meet near the gate on Whitsunday Avenue opposite Radstock Circuit.
Parking is available between Stradbroke Gardens and Ridgewood Boulevard.

Koondoola Bushland, Koondoola
Sunday 9 July // 9am – 11am
Held in conjunction with Friends of Koondoola Regional Bushland
Follow sign posts from Rendell Way

Mindarie Foreshore, Mindarie
Sunday 23 July // 9am – 12noon
Held in conjunction with the Quinns Rocks Environmental Group
Meet in front of the Quinns Mindarie Surf Life Saving Club

Please bring gloves, a water bottle and wear sturdy closed in shoes.

Morning tea will be provided.
