Expression of Interest for tenancy of Wanneroo Community Centre.

The City is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from community groups/not-for-profit organisations interested in occupying a portion of the ground floor of the existing Wanneroo Community Centre.

The City of Wanneroo is also seeking EOI from community groups and not-for-profit organisations to operate the whole vacant tenancy space located within the building under one tenancy agreement, as an alternative leasing model.  

The Wanneroo Community Centre is located on Crown Reserve 28489 (23 Civic Drive, Wanneroo) under a Management Order for the purposes of Recreation, Senior Citizens and Health Centre.  The centre is situated between Aquamotion and Memorial Park.  

  • The proposed lease area is anticipated to be available from mid-2018;  
  • The office space available for lease through this EOI is 486m2.   An additional 91m2 of shared space is available for tenants, which includes toilets and kitchenette facilities. 
  • The rent will be negotiated under a private treaty arrangement in accordance with section 3.58 of the Local Government Act 1995; and
  • Lease terms are negotiable but would be a minimum of 5 years, inclusive of options.

The top floor of the Wanneroo Community Centre has a main hall, activity rooms and a computer room which is primarily used by the Wanneroo Senior Citizens Club.  The top floor is not included in the lease area.

Initial Stage 1 applicants are to register their interest with Heather Atkinson via email: heather.atkinson@wanneroo.wa.gov.au or at the City of Wanneroo, via mail, Locked Bag 1, Wanneroo WA 6946.

Initial Stage 1 EOI registrations close at 4.00pm, Friday 10 November 2017.  

Applicants will receive a Stage 2 EOI information pack during late November 2017, which will include details of the application procedure and relevant selection criteria to be addressed.
