Global Beats and Eats 2018

Headlining this free event is Melbourne trio, Kingswood, who will wow the crowds with their eclectic sounds of old school R’n’B mixed with rock’n’roll and smooth soul. Kingswood are fresh from their 2017 national tour which saw them playing hits from their debut album Microscopic Wars, and latest LP, After Hours, Close to Dawn.

Returning to Global Beats & Eats this year will be crowd favourites Jakubi. Back by popular demand, Jakubi’s slick and sizzling buffet of pop, R’n’B, hip-hop, rock and soul will set the stage on fire.

There are plenty of other awesome acts in the line-up. Western Australia’s own Luke Fox will open the event with his trademark brand of laidback, breezy feels. Australian singer/songwriter Hein Cooper will delight fans with his signature voice, emotive lyrics and unique mix of indie and pop. Then Kiwi band Summer Thieves will get the crowd pumping with their melting pot of reggae, hip-hop, rock and funk.

There will also be a spectacular display of colourful roving musicians and talented dancers to keep the crowds entertained. Children will enjoy the many free activities on offer including drumming workshops, tribal face painting and headband making.

When the hunger pangs hit, head to one of the fantastic food trucks for a choice of delicious cuisines from around the globe, including Arabic, French, Indian, Mexican, Spanish and Thai. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options will be available.

This smoke and alcohol free family event is proudly hosted by the City of Wanneroo.
