Keep the children entertained these holidays by signing up to the City of Wanneroo’s April School Holiday Program.

School holidays

There are different activities to choose from almost every day of the week, with a wide range of options available to suit all interests and ages.

For sports enthusiasts, there is a three-day Multi-Sport Program held at both the Wanneroo Recreation Centre and Gumblossom Community Centre. This program is for children aged 6 to 12 years.

Children with a passion for science can uncover amazing mysterious facts and get a real buzz out of a show about electricity, heat and explosive energy. Available at all City of Wanneroo libraries for ages 8 to 12. (Book online at library.wanneroo.wa.gov.au and click on Library Events).

Nature lovers and history buffs aged 9 to11 years will enjoy outdoor activities at Yanchep National Park, or relish the challenge of solving Anzac mystery boxes at the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre before baking Anzac biscuits at the Wanneroo Youth Centre.

Young people aged 12 to 18 can join in a high energy day of Mobile Laser Tag, compete in an Amazing Race, learn how to build a bike from scratch, get energised with a fitness and nutrition session or go star gazing at Cockman House.

Children of all ages can pick up a holiday passport from the Wanneroo Regional Museum and go exploring with a map reading treasure hunt, or get crafty in the Museum. This free daily activity is available during Museum opening hours. (No bookings required.)

Many of the City of Wanneroo’s school holiday activities are free, with others provided at a low cost.
