Mayor Tracey Roberts said she was proud and very excited to have such a well-known singer and songwriter headline the event.

“Global Beats & Eats presented by LiveLighter is one of the highlights in the City’s annual Events calendar and securing Jimmy Cliff to perform at the event is a coup for the City and its residents,” Mayor Roberts said.

Cliff was inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame in 2010 and has an international career spanning 40 years. He is best known for hits such as Wonderful World, Beautiful People, Vietnam, Many Rivers to Cross, I Can See Clearly Now and Wild World.

He has collaborated with The Rolling Stones, Annie Lennox and Elvis Costello and has had his songs covered by Willie Nelson, Bruce Springsteen and Cher.

Tickets to Global Beats & Eats presented by LiveLighter are free but essential, and will be available exclusively to City of Wanneroo residents online from 9am Monday 30 March 2015.
