Road works

THIS INFORMATION IS PROVIDED BY MAINROADS WA

The Wanneroo Road Widening project will see the 3.2 km section of Wanneroo Road between Joondalup Drive and Flynn Drive upgraded from one to two lanes in each direction. To facilitate the works, the following closures are required.

Lane closures: Wanneroo Road from Flynn Drive to Golf Links Drive

  • Thursday 21 March to Wednesday 27 March, 10am to 2pm, weekdays daily*
  • Speed limit reduced to 40km/h
  • Lane closures managed by portabooms
  • Works include street light installation and pavement construction

Night works and lane closures: Wanneroo Road from Flynn Drive to Quarry Access Road

  • Wednesday 27 March, 7pm to 5am*
  • Speed limit reduced to 40km/h
  • Lane closures managed by portabooms
  • Shift in traffic alignment
  • Works include installation of barriers and line-marking

To avoid major disruption of high volume daytime traffic on Wanneroo Road and the associated risks to our workforce, we will be undertaking these works at night. To minimise disturbance to residents as much as possible, an out-of-hours noise management plan has been prepared by the Metropolitan Road Improvement Alliance and approved by your Local Government Authority.

Road conditions may be unfamiliar. Please proceed with caution at all times and adhere to the speed limit and signage throughout the area.

*Please note that these are projected timeframes and are subject to change due to weather and/or other factors. Regular updates will be posted on the Main Roads website and emailed to those subscribed to project updates. Where applicable, Variable Message Sign Boards on site will provide up-to-date information.
