How to register

To register simply log into your child’s or your own library account online, using the ‘Login’ button in the top right hand corner. Select ‘Personal details’ – scroll down to ‘Other details’ section and choose ‘Summer Reading Quest’ in the ‘Interests’ field. From here just head into any of our libraries and pick up the first reading log. Don't have an account? Join now.

If you need assistance, pop into your local library and our friendly staff can help you register.

Strap Yourself in for Free Summer Fun

Explore Outer Space at one of our free activities. Navigate the solar system and find out about constellations with the Perth Observatory. Discover your own star power with author Josh Langley, paint a moonscape with Aqukreartz and learn about sustainability for the planet with Faerie Cara. Don’t miss the ongoing events at all the libraries – accept the challenge and blast off to summer reading and fun.

Prizes During the Journey

Every month as you keep a record of your reading and activities in the holidays, you can pick up your prizes at any day of the month. Prizes include booklets, stickers, bookmarks, pencils, sidewalk chalk and more! Every month questers will go in the draw for a family ticket to the Lego Brickman Exhibition at Wanneroo Regional Gallery open now until Feb 18 2024. Draws take place on 20 Dec, 2 January and 2 February 2024.

SRQ Booklet for Questers 6 years and over - Summer Steps Card for Questers 5 years and under

Keen Questers can collect both logs, parent support is required for some activities. When you do visit, take your logs and cards and catchup on the prizes. If you can’t get to the library for a while, you can download the booklet and/or Card and get started logging your reading. When you do visit, take your logs and cards and catchup on the prizes.

Be Part of the Statewide Summer Reading Quest Space Crew

Register for updates and reminders at www.summerreadingquest.net.

This site is where you register your reading time over summer until 31 March 2024 to go in the draw for the statewide prizes like book vouchers, a place in the Young Writers program, books and puppets and much more.

Summer Reading Quest: Drop in these School Holidays

Come along and grab an "Awesome Planets" booklet and use the specially curated "Space & Planets" collection to write some facts into it.
Do a space themed word search, colouring in or maze. For younger ones, pick up a space themed lacing card.
