The Yanchep Lagoon Master Plan is a strategic blueprint and community-developed Place Vision to guide future development and amenity at the Lagoon and surrounding areas.
It covers the area from Mary Lindsay Homestead in the north to Fisherman’s Hollow in the south.
The Plan was developed by the City with Placemaking consultants, RobertsDay, following an extensive collaborative community engagement process, involving a wide range of stakeholders and local community representatives.
Council approved the Yanchep Lagoon Master Plan on 27 August 2019.
The City of Wanneroo is in the process of implementing the Master Plan.
This is a long-term undertaking that is being progressed in partnership with the Yanchep Lagoon Community Working Group, which comprises the Mayor, Ward Councillors, and local community and business representatives.
The group is initially focusing on short-term improvements that can be implemented in advance of the normal (and lengthy) project planning and approval process - to help make the Lagoon a better place for locals and visitors alike.
As key sub-projects are progressed, there will be opportunities for you - the community and stakeholders - to provide further feedback and get involved.
