About the position

Reporting to the Coordinator Work Health & Safety within our People & Culture Team, this is a role pivotal to the delivery of Strategic initiatives across the organisation while focussing on providing competency-based education and workforce knowledge, to enhance safe work practices across our organisation.

Role responsibilities include collaborating with leadership to foster a culture that values workplace safety through the implementation of learning programs, mentoring and verification assessments.

Operational Training Business Partner Position Description

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate your experience implementing learning that enhances employee skills and knowledge and promotes a sense of belonging to a safe and competent workforce.

This role establishes measurable goals and tracks progress in achieving learning outcomes generating regular reports to leadership on all training.

You will need:

  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong facilitation skills to engage diverse learners and create a positive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications including MS office and other related business communication tools.
  • Experience with eLearning software and learning management systems (desirable).
  • First Aid certificate or emergency response experience (desirable).
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Current National Police Certificate

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating training sessions for culturally diverse groups. Strong administration and people management skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience being self-motivated and ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Computing, numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Intermediate computing, numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Intermediate organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
  • Advanced communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate negotiation and influencing skills when interacting with internal and external customers, including contractors.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of work health and safety measures in the workplace, including risk assessment and control implementation.

Key Stakeholder

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging in the implementation of strategic intent.
