About the position

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Administration Officer, to join our passionate Approval Services Administration Team on a fixed term 12-month basis.   The successful appointee will be responsible for:

  • Providing a high level of customer service to the City of Wanneroo and surrounding community.
  • Completing administration processes such as the lodgement, checking and sending out Approval information for Building and Planning applications.
  • Providing administration support to both the Building and Planning teams.
  • Respond to Building and Planning enquiries.
  • Supporting and conducting general administration processes within the Building and Planning Teams.
  • Communicate, engage and provide support / advice to relevant stakeholders and customers.
  • Playing a key role in providing a positive culture in a high performing team.

Administration Officer - Approval Services Position Description

About you

As a collaborative member of the Approvals Administration Team, the position is accountable for providing a high level of Customer Service to both the City’s external and internal stakeholders.

The successful appointee must be adaptable, values driven and proactive. They must also thrive working in a very busy and change driven organisation.  

As such, applicants must be able to demonstrate through their CV and covering letter that they meet the following capabilities:

  • Intermediate organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
  • Intermediate written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Intermediate level of Authority, Content Manager, Microsoft Office, Trapeze
  • Intermediate administration skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace.
