Road Projects - Mindarie - Burns Beach to Mindarie coastal shared path - (project complete)

Project description

The purpose of this project was to complete the missing 3.5 km section of shared coastal path between Burns Beach and Mindarie which includes sections of path adjacent to Burns Beach Estate in the south and Catalina Estate in the north. On completion of all three sections, the path will create a continuous route from North Fremantle to Jindalee.

2.8km of the Burns Beach to Mindarie coastal shared path was completed by August 2020 with funding provided by the Western Australian Planning Commission, Tamala Park Regional Council, City of Wanneroo and City of Joondalup. The path is accessible from the end of Long Beach Promenade in Mindarie - please be respectful of local residents by using the available on street parking.

The southern section adjacent to Burns Beach Estate (approximately 650m) was constructed by Peet Limited and officially opened on 3 June 2022 (long weekend). The path is accessible at various points alongside Beachside Drive and from the Burns Beach Foreshore car parks on Ocean Parade.
