Time-based Encounters - Art History Talk

Delve into the history of Australian video art in an engaging talk by Dr Laetitia Wilson, presented in response to the Gallery’s current exhibition, Time-based Encounters, curated by Leah Robbie.

This is a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the exhibition, and the ideas, technologies and artistic approaches that shape video art and time-based media today.

In Dr Laetitia Willson’s own words: “This talk will respond to Time-based Encounters through the lens of the history of Australian Video Art in the Expanded Field, considering key moments of and ideas within Australian Video Art making.”

Laetitia Wilson, PhD, is a Perth-based curator, producer, arts writer and guest speaker. She is currently Producer of the boorda yeyi Immersive Arts Program at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art (PICA).
