Australian Heritage Festival

Wind back the clock and get a glimpse into the days of old during the City of Wanneroo’s Australian Heritage Festival celebrations.
They’ll be plenty of hands on heritage fun to be had! Discover stories of the past through Noongar language singing workshops, explore the sights of the City in days gone by through film, learn how to weave a basket, and more.
Do you love historical buildings? Uncover the charms of the oldest remaining houses in the City, Buckingham House and Cockman House, and take a peek into the life of some of the City’s early European settlers. While here you can try your hand at copperplate writing, learn about bush tucker for your garden, or grab a photo looking the part with some old fashioned dress-ups.
Bookings are required for some activities so don’t delay!

Big Mouth Drag Queens brought to you by the Joondalup Giants - strictly adults only

Three of Western Australia’s finest Drag Queens come together for the night to entertain you for 3 hours of fun, dancing and laughter.
This event is a fundraising event for the Joondalup Giants Rugby League Club, hosted by Big Mouth Productions who will get you on the dance floor to join the fun.

PEET Beach Clean Up 2-Day Art Workshop - ages 8 to 11

Have fun with Meg, our local children’s author. Collect objects at the Alkimos beach to create beach themed and fun art pieces.
NOTE
Attendees must book and be available on both Thursday (beach clean up) and Friday (creating art piees with beach objects). Parents must accompany children to this session.
