Credit Card Surcharge
City of Wanneroo residents, ratepayers and customers who choose to pay their rates and other bills via credit card will be charged a surcharge of 0.57 per cent from Monday 3 August 2009.
Each year the City incurs substantial costs in credit card fees, which are passed on via the banks. Rather than increase council fees to recover these fees, only those residents, ratepayers and customers paying via credit card will be charged with this surcharge.
Credit card surcharges will be passed on at the point of transaction.
Please note that there are other payment options available to residents and ratepayers that do not incur a surcharge, which include cash, cheque and EFTPOS.
