Get fit and recycle at Aquamotion and Kingsway

The City’s two key leisure facilities are now running a Containers for Change trial, with drop off bins located throughout both buildings.

Aquamotion and Kingsway will rotate different charities and community causes that you can support if you drop off recyclable drink containers.

Mayor Linda Aitken said the City was constantly looking for ways to support environmental initiatives and reduce waste sent to landfill.

“You can come along for a workout or to swim some laps and conveniently drop off your bottles, cans and cartons too,” she said.

“We encourage everyone to support this trial, a chance to free up space in your recycling bin while supporting important charities and community fundraising.”

Wanneroo Aquamotion is open Monday to Thursday, 5.30am to 8pm, Friday 5.30am to 7pm, Saturday 7.30am to 3pm and Sunday 8am to 3pm. The gym is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week (after-hours induction is required).

Kingsway Indoor Stadium is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 9pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm. Please note weekend opening hours may vary pending on bookings and events at the stadium.
