How to place your bins
- Place bins out by 6am on your collection day.
- Keep at least 1 metre clear from trees, and not under tree canopy.
- Keep at least 1 metre between bins.
- Keep at least 1 metre clear of cars, mailboxes, fences etc.
- Do not park in front of bins and keep laneways clear.
- Maximum weight of each bin is 70kg.

Report a missed bin collection
Bin collections can be missed for several reasons including incorrect placement, missed timing, parked vehicles or limited street access.
If your bin was not collected on your regular day, you can report it by calling us on (08) 9405 5000.
Please note: The City uses CCTV and GPS tracking to verify missed collections. A return visit may not be provided if:
- The bin was not out by 6am
- The bin was overfilled, blocked or placed incorrectly
- The bin contained the wrong type of waste
If a return collection is approved, a fee may apply.
