About the bulk verge collection service
The bookable verge collection service is available to every residential property that pays a waste service fee.
Each financial year, you can book:
- 1 x bulk junk waste collection, up to 3m³ (3m length x 1m width x 1m height)
- 1 x bulk green waste collection, up to 3m³ (3m length x 1m width x 1m height)
- 1 x mattress collection, up to 3 items
- 1 x white goods collection, up to 4 items
- 1 x e-waste (electronic waste) collection, up to 6 items.
The bulk verge collection booking system allows you to select the type of waste for collection and book the next available date.
To calculate cubic meters, measure all 3 dimensions of your item: Length (L), width (W) and height (H). Then, use a calculator to multiply all three values to calculate the cubic metres: Item volume (m3) = L x W x H.

To ensure smooth collection, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Booking requirement: Make a booking before placing any items out for collection.
- Placement timeframe: You can place your items on your verge up to three days before your booked collection date. This includes your front or side verge, laneway, or another suitable location on your property.
- Placement deadline: All items must be placed out by 6am on your collection day.
- Positioning: Ensure items are not leaning against anything and are at least one metre away from obstructions such as sprinklers, water meters, and poles.
- Obstruction avoidance: Avoid obstructing the footpath, your regular bin service, or the line of sight for motorists.
- Separation for multiple collections: If you have booked multiple collections for different waste types within the same week, make sure you set them out in separate piles.
