Are you dreaming of being centre stage? We’re looking to showcase one talented vocalist and give them the chance to shine in front of a crowd of thousands!
Up for grabs is the opportunity to perform alongside the Perth Symphony Orchestra at our ‘Music Blockbusters’ themed Symphony Under the Stars concert on the 24 February 2024. Some of the hits to be performed include New York, New York; Bohemian Rhapsody; Firework and This is Me.
If you live, work, study or are involved in a local group within the City of Wanneroo, you’re eligible to apply. We welcome applications of all ages and with all levels of experience. Full terms and conditions are listed below.
To be in the running, submit a video performance by 5pm Sunday 29 October 2023.

- Include a file/link to a video performance.
- Provide the following information in your email: Full name, contact phone number, and eligibility with regards to living, working, studying or being involved with a local group within the City of Wanneroo.
- Apply before the closing date of 5pm Sunday 29 October 2023.
Terms and conditions of entry
- The competition is open to individual vocalists only. Groups or musicians are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants must live, work, study or be involved in a local group within the City of Wanneroo to be eligible to apply. Proof of eligibility will be required.
- Applicants of all ages, and with all levels of experience are welcomed.
- The Prize consists of one Winner performing alongside the Perth Symphony Orchestra at the Symphony Under the Stars event at Halesworth Park, Butler on Saturday 24 February 2024. The parameters of the Winner’s performance will be at the discretion of the City of Wanneroo and/or the Perth Symphony Orchestra.
- Applicants must be available to perform on both Saturday 2 December 2023 (shortlisted applicants only) and Saturday 24 February 2024 (Winner only).
- Applications, including a file/link to a video performance, must be received by email to events@wanneroo.wa.gov.au by 5.00pm A.W.S.T Sunday 29 October. No late entries will be accepted.
- Applicants must submit a file/link to a video performance that does not contain any slurs, profanity or discriminating lyrics.
- This competition is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the Winner. The best applicant entries, as determined by the judges, will be shortlisted and one shortlisted applicant will be judged the Winner and will win the Prize.
