Youth Hubs and Centres

The City’s Youth hubs and centres will remain open throughout the holiday period, in addition to scheduled holiday programs. Youth hubs are free, welcoming spaces for young people to drop in, join activities and feel supported, no bookings are required.

Freedom Fairies: Pirate Flag Creation - school age children

Ahoy, young adventurers! Create your very own pirate flag inspired by shipwrecks, sea voyages and coastal treasure.

Children will use bold colours, symbols and patterns to design a flag that tells the world who they are on the high seas. This fun, hands-on craft activity encourages imagination, creativity and storytelling, with each participant taking home their own seafaring design. 
Perfect for young makers, pirate fans and curious explorers.

Freedom Fairies: Pirate Pearl and Storytime - school age children

Meet Pirate Pearl for an afternoon of swashbuckling fun at the museum!

Pirate Pearl will roam the museum, sharing themed stories, playful games and interactive pirate adventures inspired by sunken shipwrecks and life by the coast. Families can drop in, join the fun, and enjoy a magical museum experience full of imagination, laughter and seaside adventure. 

A playful and theatrical experience for young visitors and their families.

Art & Craft Creations at Aquamotion - ages 5 to 12

Join us at Galleon Park, Yanchep at 1 pm for tree planting and community fun, then join us for a quick walk to Yanchep Youth Centre for art and cultural experiences. Young people (10–18) and their families can enjoy cultural conversations with Derek Nannup, weaving with Judith Birchall, and a community canvas with Philip Farmer. Connect, create, and celebrate NAIDOC Week together!

Level Up - Makeup Skills Development Program - 12 to 17 years
