Dordaak Kepup Youth innovation hub

The Youth Innovation Hub at Dordaak Kepup gives young people access to cutting-edge tools and technology, with structured programs in STEAM, gaming, podcasting and creative media. Designed as a safe, inclusive space to explore future-focused careers, the hub offers drop-in sessions, skill-building workshops and youth-led clubs, all supported by qualified youth workers. Dedicated digital play zones encourage teamwork and communication, while access to CAD software, 3D printers and laser cutters helps bring creative ideas to life. 

Dordaak Kepup podcasting and tech studio – new program

Dordaak Kepup features a professional-grade podcasting and tech studio available for public hire at affordable rates, perfect for local creators, students, small businesses and community groups. First-time users are supported with guidance to make media creation accessible to all. Workshops like Content Creator 101 help build digital media skills and confidence, while access to tools such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD), creative software, 3D printers and laser cutters empowers users to bring their ideas to life.

Third Place program

Mondays, 4pm - 7pm
Ages 16 - 25 years

This program is an opportunity for young people to socialise in a safe space with peers, whilst having the opportunity to connect and learn through structured workshops in collaboration with young people and external organisations. Upcoming  workshops can be found on the City’s Childhood and Youth Services Facebook page.

Examples of programs could include

  • Board games and card afternoons
  • Casual art and tech creation
  • Cooking and baking activities
  • Chill-out spaces with music and gaming
  • Series screenings
  • Life skills: budgeting, cooking, renting, navigating Centrelink
  • Resume writing and interview practice
  • Digital media, podcasting, photography, Djing
  • Wellbeing sessions: stress, relationships, body image
  • Leadership: event planning, peer mentoring, civic engagement.

Youth Club Days

Wednesday and Fridays, 3.30pm - 6.30pm
Years 7 - 12
Free program

Youth Club days provide an opportunity for young people to connect through shared interests. This program will be facilitated by formal youth club leaders with the support of City staff. This facility is the first of its kind in our City and has a range of spaces and resources to run your next event, social group or kick off a new project. These include:
