Bookable verge collections

Bookings are now open, with collections starting in July 2024.

The City has moved to a new flexible service for verge collections for bulk waste.

Bookable verge collections provide every residential property paying a waste service fee one of each of the following each financial year:

  • 1 x bulk junk waste, up to 3m³ (3m x 1m x 1m)
  • 1 x bulk green waste, up to 3m³ (3m x 1m x 1m)
  • 1 x mattresses, up to 3 items
  • 1 x white goods, up to 4 items
  • 1 x e-waste (electronic), up to 6 items

The new booking system allows you to select what waste type you need collecting and book an available date convenient for you. These are usually a couple of weeks in advance, so make sure you book before you placing any items out for collection. Items will only be collected if a booking has been made.

Before you book, are your items still in good working order? Why not donate to charity, swap or sell items too good for the tip.
