The City of Wanneroo and Kidsafe WA are driving a pilot community road safety initiative that aims to improve child passenger safety.
According to Kidsafe WA, up to 70 per cent of child restraints are incorrectly fitted and this new program will ensure parents and carers have access to expert advice and support to keep children safe while travelling.
From April 2026, free monthly child car restraint fittings and safety checks will be available across 10 locations in the City between Girrawheen to Two Rocks.

This initiative is supported through the Road Safety Commission’s Community Initiative Project Grants program.
