Public Notice of major land transaction - Business Plan, Golf Course Operator - Carramar and Marangaroo Golf Courses

PUBLIC NOTICE OF MAJOR LAND TRANSACTION

The City of Wanneroo (City) is proposing to enter into a major land transaction to grant the leases and appoint an operator (both golf course operator and course maintenance) of the following:

Carramar Golf Course, being the land more particularly described as:

  • Lot 11 on Diagram 57099 (No. 30) Tranquil Drive, Carramar owned in freehold by the City;
  • Reserve 44338 vested in the City for the purpose of ‘Recreation, Golf Course and Community purposes’ with power to lease for any term not exceeding 35 years, subject to the consent of the Minister for Lands:
         - Lot 12553 on Deposited Plan 92360 (No. 2) Tranquil Drive, Carramar; and
         - Lot 14009 on Plan 23284 (No. 61) Golf links Drive, Carramar.

Marangaroo Golf Course, being the land more particularly described as:

  • Reserve 53946 vested in the City for ‘Recreation, Golf and Community purposes’ with power to lease for any term not exceeding 35 years, subject to the consent of the Minister for Lands; and
  • Lot 500 on Deposited Plan 418473 (8) Aylesford Drive, Marangaroo.

A Business Plan to grant the leases and appointment of an operator (both golf course operator and course maintenance) of the Carramar and Marangaroo Golf Courses has been prepared in accordance with Section 3.59 of the Local Government Act 1995.  A copy of this Business Plan may be inspected at, or obtained from:

  • the City of Wanneroo’s Administration Offices located at 23 Dundebar Road, Wanneroo; and
  • this webpage. 

Submissions about the proposed transaction must be made in writing and should be addressed to the Acting Chief Executive Officer, City of Wanneroo, Locked Bag 1, Wanneroo WA 6946. Submissions must be received by 5pm (WST) Friday 9 September 2022.

Submissions or comments are anticipated to be presented to Council at its Ordinary Council Meeting of September 2022 for consideration and will inform Council’s decision making on the matter.
